   The idea for International Poppers Day came to fruition in a serendipitous way, as Eric Hassan wasn't initially planning to create this celebration. It all began with a playful conversation about donuts with a friend, questioning why they had a special day. This led Hassan to think that if donuts deserved a day, then poppers should have one too. Inspired by this thought, he decided to establish International Poppers Day on April 5th, which is also his birthday. Hassan wanted to bring people together and create an opportunity to bond over their shared love of poppers, especially within the gay community. The main objective of this event is to promote unity and educate people about poppers while having fun.
